Scope

This Standard specifies construction, dimensions and tests for single-core flexible cables for operation at voltages up to and including 7.5 kV to earth, used for the wiring of high voltage luminous discharge tube installations. Installation requirements are given in Appendix A.

NOTE: This Standard is intended to apply only to high voltage cables of the types and size which are included. It is not intended, however, that other types or sizes of high voltage cables should be precluded from use, subject to approval by the regulatory authorities.
