Specifies requirements for the manufacture and performance of scaffold planks excluding prefabricated platforms. Specific manufacturing requirements are given for solid timber, vertically laminated timber and metal scaffold planks. Includes test methods for stiffness, strength, sliding and slip.
Scope
This Standard specifies requirements for the design, manufacture and performance of scaffold planks. The Standard does not apply to prefabricated platforms (see AS 1576.3).
NOTE: Alternative methods for determining compliance with this Standard are given in Appendix E.
