Specifies construction and performance requirements for table, pedestal, wall and ceiling circulating fans and their associated regulators for household and similar use, e.g. light commercial use, for connection to single-phase a.c. supply at voltages exceeding 250 V. It is based on IEC 385 for methods of test but gives design, packaging, marking, vibration, noise, endurance and point-of-sale information requirements not given in IEC 385. Sections are included for definitions, design and general construction, performance requirements, markings, packing, general conditions for tests and testing.
