BS 4204:1989

This British Standard specifies requirements for the automatic flash welding of steel tubes, pipes or pipe fittings for pressure applications.

In addition to the definitive requirements, it also requires the items detailed in clause 3 to be documented. For compliance with this standard, both the definitive requirements and the documented items have to be satisfied.

NOTE 1. The phrase ‘pressure applications’ in this context applies to designs incorporating pressure and/or temperature requirements.
