Polyethylene Pipe-Fittings for the Supply of Gaseous Fuels – Part 3: Electrofusion Fittings

This part of JIS K 6775 specifies the requirements for polyethylene electrofusion fittings intended to be used with polyethylene pipes and fittings for the supply of town gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
In addition, it specifies some general properties of the material from which these fittings are made.
This part of JIS K 6775 also specifies requirements for dimensions and performance of such fittings.
It is applicable to electrofusion fittings (hereafter referred to as "fittings") designed to be fusion-jointed topolyethylene pipes conforming to JIS K 6774 (hereafter referred to as "pipes"), and to spigot fittings conforming to JIS K 6775-2.
Remarks 1 For the use of the fittings, direct sunshine and fire shall be taken into consideration.
Further, sufficient considerations shall be taken concerning fusion-jointing condition, fusion-jointing compatibility of fittings, etc.
