Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 This specification covers the requirements for electrical liquid level indicating equipment for shipboard low pressure and high pressure tanks containing freshwater, feed water, potable water, seawater, wastewater, diesel fuel, lubricating oil, contaminated oil, refrigerants, JP fuels, and various other fluids. Application includes compensating tanks in which the equipment must locate the interface.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2 Each liquid level indicating equipment typically consists of the following components:<\/p>\n

\n (a)\u2009One or more sensing devices;\n <\/div>\n
\n (b)\u2009Flexible interconnections, if needed;\n <\/div>\n
\n (c)\u2009Primary indicator panel assembly;\n <\/div>\n
\n (d)\u2009Auxiliary indicator panel assembly, when required; and\n <\/div>\n
\n (e)\u2009Portable indicator panel assembly, when required.\n <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
