{"id":264429,"date":"2024-10-19T17:37:49","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:37:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-131572004a12009\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T13:29:42","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T13:29:42","slug":"bs-en-131572004a12009","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-131572004a12009\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 13157:2004+A1:2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies requirements for the following hand powered lifting equipment defined in clause 3:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Hand chain blocks;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lever hoists;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Jaw winches;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hand powered trolleys supporting lifting machines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Drum winches;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Pulley blocks and deflection pulley.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The significant hazards covered by this European Standard are identified in clause 4.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard does not cover hazards related to the lifting of persons.<\/p>\n<p>This standard does not specify the additional requirements for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>use in ambient temperature outside the range of &#8211; 10\u00b0C to + 50\u00b0C,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hand powered lifting equipment in direct contact with food stuffs or pharmaceuticals requiring a high level of cleanliness for hygiene reasons;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hazards resulting from handling specific hazardous materials (e.g. explosives, hot molten masses, radiating materials);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hazards caused by operation in an explosive atmosphere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This European Standard is applicable to hand powered lifting equipment, which are manufactured after the date of approval by CEN of this standard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Cranes.
