It specifies the grades in terms of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>chemical composition;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hardness.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The types of abrasion resistant white cast irons covered by this standard are:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>unalloyed or low alloy cast irons;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>nickel-chromium cast irons covering two general types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>4&nbsp;%&nbsp;Ni 2&nbsp;%&nbsp;Cr cast irons;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>9&nbsp;%&nbsp;Cr 5&nbsp;%&nbsp;Ni cast irons;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>high chromium cast irons covering four ranges of chromium content:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>11&nbsp;%&nbsp;&lt; Cr&nbsp;\u2264&nbsp;14&nbsp;%;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>14&nbsp;%&nbsp;&lt; Cr&nbsp;\u2264&nbsp;18&nbsp;%;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>18&nbsp;%&nbsp;&lt; Cr&nbsp;\u2264&nbsp;23&nbsp;%;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>23&nbsp;%&nbsp;&lt; Cr&nbsp;\u2264&nbsp;30&nbsp;%.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This European Standard does not define the abrasion resistant grades of ausferritic spheroidal graphite cast irons which are subject of EN&nbsp;1564.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Founding.
