The objective of this Standard is to specify the equipment requirements for intercommunications systems used to assist in the safe evacuation of building occupants in the event of a fire alarm or other emergency.
Scope
This Standard specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria for emergency intercom control and indicating equipment (EICIE) for use in buildings and structures.
