Description

This part of IEC 61300 describes the inspection procedure of the polished end face of a fibre optic connector or fibre optic transceiver using a fibre stub interface. It includes methods for inspection for debris ensuring fit for use and methods for quantitatively assessing the end face quality. Sub-surface cracks and fractures are not considered in this standard.
