Description

This standard applies to the operation of lifts requiring monitoring as defined in the German Ordinance on Safe Operation (BetrSichV). The standard describes specified normal operation while ensuring safety for man and the environment. The standard contains recommendations for lift operators for safe, demand-meeting and economic operation of lifts. Furthermore, it provides guidance on the responsibility of the operator (including legal duty to maintain safety within one’s premises), on the control of the risk involved in liabilities and the operation of lifts in accordance with the state of the art.
