This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the precast unreinforced concrete products (hereafter referred to as "URC products").

However, this Standard shall not be applied to individual concrete products for buildings and the tactile ground surface indicators for blind persons which are specified in separate Japanese Industrial Standards.

This Standard also applies to URC products which use the reinforcing steel, etc. for the purpose of securing safety in construction without intending to use the reinforced concrete structure.

The comparison table between previous and current editions of this Standard on technically significant revisions is listed in Annex E.
