{"id":242399,"date":"2024-10-19T15:53:20","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T15:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-61000-4-162016\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T10:45:50","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T10:45:50","slug":"bs-en-61000-4-162016","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-61000-4-162016\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 61000-4-16:2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;61000<\/span> <\/span> relates to the immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment to conducted, common mode disturbances in the range d.c. to 150&nbsp;kHz.<\/p>\n<p>The object of this standard is to establish a common and reproducible basis for testing electrical and electronic equipment with the application of common mode disturbances to power supply, control, signal and communication ports.<\/p>\n<p>This standard defines<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>test voltage and current waveform;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>range of test levels;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>test equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>test set-up;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>test procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For some types of ports, for example ports intended to be used with highly balanced lines, additional test provisions may be established by product committee specifications.<\/p>\n<p>The test is intended to demonstrate the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to conducted, common mode disturbances such as those originating from power line currents and return leakage currents in the earthing\/grounding system.<\/p>\n<p>The disturbances produced by 400&nbsp;Hz mains systems are not included in the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>Actual interference due to these disturbance phenomena is relatively rare, except in industrial plants.
