{"id":513116,"date":"2024-11-05T14:22:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:22:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/can-csa-e60335-2-413-r2018\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T14:22:19","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:22:19","slug":"can-csa-e60335-2-413-r2018","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/csa\/can-csa-e60335-2-413-r2018\/","title":{"rendered":"CAN\/CSA-E60335-2-4:13 (R2018)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Preface<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This is the first edition of CAN\/CSA-E60335-2-4, Household and similar electrical appliances &#8211; Safety &#8211; Part 2-4: Particular requirements for spin extractors, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 60335-2-4 (sixth edition, 2008-09).<\/p>\n<p>This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with CAN\/CSA-C22.2 No. 60335-1-11, Safety of household and similar appliances &#8211; Part 1: General requirements (adopted IEC 60335-1:2001+A1:2004+A2:2006, with Canadian deviations).<\/p>\n<p><b>Scope<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard deals with the safety of  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stand alone electric spin extractors, and<\/li>\n<li>spin extractors incorporated in washing machines that have separate containers for washing and spin extraction for household and similar purposes that have a capacity not exceeding 10 kg of dry cloth and a drum peripheral speed not exceeding 50 m\/s, their rated voltages being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Appliances not intended for normal household use but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as spin extractors intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, and spin extractors for communal use in blocks of flats or in launderettes are within the scope of this standard.<\/p>\n<p>As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances which are encountered by all persons in and around the home.
