CSA Preface<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the third edition of CSA C900.6, Thermal energy meters \u2014 Part 6: Installation, commissioning, operational monitoring and maintenance,<\/em> which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled CEN (European Committee for Standardization) Standard EN 1434-6 (edition 3:2015 consolidated with Amendment 1:2018). It supersedes the previous edition published in 2013 as CAN\/CSA-C900.6 (adopted EN 1434-6:2007), Heat meters \u2014 Part 6: Installation, commissioning, operational monitoring and maintenance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This Standard is one of a group of Standards on Thermal energy meters being adopted by CSA Group, which consists of the following:<\/p>\n

a) CSA C900.1 (adopted EN 1434-1) \u2014 Part 1: General requirements;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

b) CSA C900.2 (adopted EN 1434-2) \u2014 Part 2: Constructional requirements;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

c) CSA C900.3 (adopted EN 1434-3) \u2014 Part 3: Data exchange and interfaces;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

d) CSA C900.4 (adopted EN 1434-4) \u2014 Part 4: Pattern approval tests;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

e) CSA C900.5 (adopted EN 1434-5) \u2014 Part 5: Initial verification tests; and<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

f) CSA C900.6 (adopted EN 1434-6) \u2014 Part 6: Installation, commissioning, operational monitoring and maintenance.<\/p>\n

This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This European Standard specifies commissioning, operational monitoring and maintenance and applies to thermal energy meters. Thermal energy meters are instruments intended for measuring the energy which in a heat-exchange circuit is absorbed (cooling) or given up (heating) by a liquid called the heat-conveying liquid. The thermal energy meter indicates the quantity of heat in legal units.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Electrical safety requirements are not covered by this European Standard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Pressure safety requirements are not covered by this European Standard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Surface mounted temperature sensors are not covered by this European Standard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
