Numerical values of the area fraction of non-metallic inclusions present in samples of cast steels is specified.<\/p>\n<p>The percentage content ranges of non-metallic inclusions are specified for four melting and refining methods in use in steel foundries throughout the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the definitive requirements, this standard also requires the items detailed in clause <b>4<\/b> to be documented.
