{"id":337617,"date":"2024-10-19T23:36:40","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T23:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-iso-229592009\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T22:41:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T22:41:46","slug":"bs-en-iso-229592009","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-iso-229592009\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN ISO 22959:2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This International Standard specifies a high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) procedure for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in edible fats and oils.<\/p>\n<p>The method has been validated for coconut (CN), olive (OV), sunflower (SF), and soybean (BO) oil, and is possibly applicable to other oils, dependent on the determination of appropriate parameters.<\/p>\n<p>The lowest level of quantification for the PAHs is 0,1&nbsp;\u00b5g\/kg. The lowest possible amount of each PAH which can be distinguished from the baseline noise has not been determined. The validated concentration range of the method is 0,1&nbsp;\u00b5g\/kg to 3,5&nbsp;\u00b5g\/kg for each individual PAH. For samples containing (light) PAH contents&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;3,5&nbsp;\u00b5g\/kg, dilution to bring the contents into the validated range is possible. It is also possible to adjust the range of the calibration curves. However, ranges exceeding 3,5&nbsp;\u00b5g\/kg have not been validated.<\/p>\n<p>PAHs which can be determined by this method are: anthracene, phenanthrene, fluoranthene, pyrene, chrysene, benzo[<i>a<\/i>]anthracene, benzo[<i>e<\/i>]pyrene, benzo[<i>a<\/i>]pyrene, perylene, benzo[<i>ghi<\/i>]perylene, anthanthrene, dibenzo[<i>a<\/i>,<i>h<\/i>]anthracene, coronene, indeno[1,2,3-<i>cd<\/i>]pyrene, benzo[<i>a<\/i>]fluoranthene, benzo[<i>b<\/i>]fluoranthene, benzo[<i>k<\/i>]fluoranthene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Animal and vegetable fats and oils.
