The<br \/>\nsupplementary terms and definitions and the conditions of<br \/>\nmeasurement set forth in this standard are intended for typical<br \/>\ntests and may be used also for acceptance tests.<\/p>\n<p>This Standard deals only with antennas intended for use in the<br \/>\nTerrestrial Land Mobile bands between 25 MHz and 1000 MHz and does<br \/>\nnot deal with antennas intended for use in military combat<br \/>\napplications.<\/p>\n<p>For the purpose of this standard, an antenna is defined as a<br \/>\ndevice for coupling a transmission line to space for the purpose of<br \/>\nradiating or receiving electromagnetic waves. It includes any<br \/>\nmatching, balancing, phasing or other coupling devices up to the<br \/>\npoint of connection of the transmission line.
